The Heir Audio division was formed by Dr. John Moulton and Dr. David Tao, two audiologists and life-long audio enthusiasts. Dr. John and Dr. Tao have merged their skill sets, talents and knowledge to establish a company dedicated to fellow audio enthusiast around the world.

Heir Audio is the first audio company founded by two American trained audiologists with its manufacturing facilities located in China. Dr. Jiang, with 70 patents in sound engineering and sound processing, has years of experience of merging international companies and creating successful business strategies, while Dr. John has years of experience designing and building high quality custom IEMs. Combining their knowledge along with the engineers and production staff at Micro-DSP was a natural fit. Dr. John has the distinction of developing the “Timbre Line” custom IEMs in which exotic woods are used, making the finished product look as good as it sounds, a distinction that has earned him the nickname, “The Wizard.”
